Patrimoine de Guadeloupe is a journey through the centuries, thanks to the material evidence of a past built on greatness and on pain.

From the archaeological remnants of the first Native American occupations to the masterpieces of 20th century modernist architecture, we are presented with monuments and objects that are sources of pride for Guadeloupeans.
This book invites us to discover the highly diverse heritage of Guadeloupe through over 1,700 photographs, a series of themed articles and more than 1,000 notes covering all the communes. Bringing together contributions from 45 authors selected from among top specialists, it is a tribute to all those who go to considerable lengths to ensure the conservation of this heritage and make it accessible to as many people as possible.
