“The Marin cul-de-sac is the only port that runs from Fort Royal to Pointe des Salines.” This is how the bay of Le Marin was described in 1717, as the crucible of the communes of Le Marin and Sainte-Anne.

This protected area in the south of Martinique features rare traces of a cultural and natural heritage, evidence of the development of Native American cultures and the plantation society at the heart of Martiniquan history.
