To retrace one’s path, to want to make it possible to meet the other oneself, and to do so, to cross the middle, backwards and forwards. In the real journey, the time spent wandering is important. It charges the artist with this hinterland.

Collecting is a mission. To buy, to preserve, to show, to publish. The Clément Foundation has chosen to promote the diversity of creative work from Martinique, the Caribbean and its diaspora.

Expression by Guadeloupean artists in times of confinement around 3 themes: the trace, the drawing and the social mask.

J-Expose is an online exhibition that aims to showcase Guadeloupe’s dynamic art scene. It was due to be held in April 2020 at the Fondation Clément, but was suspended during the lockdown.

Like a process of re-elaborating or reconstructing ideas, Wolfric’s work involves questioning the intrinsic and extrinsic values of his practice. Existing authentically and making a real contribution to painting are important concerns for the artist.

Mounia has developed her sense of materials and her taste for unusual harmonies, which she now puts to good use in her painting, combining them with the colors of her native Martinique.

Experimenting with figuration and abstraction, the richness of colors and shapes, observing the expression of everything around me, discovering its secret mechanisms, this has been my quest since the age of fifteen.

I invite you to run with me, blindfolded, barefoot, bare-chested, on a tightrope.
Reducing the spaces between us is urgently needed against our inner terrorism.
