Practical information

Neither the figure nor the work of Louis Laouchez, known as Joëlle Busca, allow for half measures or hesitation.

It is impossible to retrace what was his life without mentioning its successive periods: the childhood years and the education of the eye; the teenage years and a zeal for learning; the years studying decorative arts and artistic mutation; his long stay in Africa and the shaping of his identity as an artist; his return home.

The life of Louis Laouchez was a one-of-a-kind and powerful human adventure. He passed through and explored lands in total freedom propelled by his own forces, intelligence and motivation. He traversed the decades always spurred by the same drive. He followed a worthy path, that of his love for his homeland and his fellow man, forging a destiny in keeping with himself, others and the world.
